Cultural Pass Event- Storytime in the Garden

Looking for free family activities this summer? Join the Food Literacy Project for Cultural Pass Days at our urban farm in Okolona! Families can explore the farm, taste fresh produce, dig in the soil, hear stories in the garden, cook seasonal recipes, and take home youth-grown produce + seeds. We recommend wearing close-toed shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle + sunscreen. Join us for Storytime on the farm! Our youth staff will read a picture book and lead an activity tied to the reading. June 17 Reading: “Don’t Eat Me! The Almost True Story of Bella Donna.” After the reading, we will go on a plant investigation inspired by, “Don’t Eat Me!”. Recommended Age Range: 6-9 July 8 Reading: “Layla’s Happiness” After the reading, we will create our mini happiness book inspired by “Layla’s Happiness!”. Recommended Age Range: 4-8
