Neighbors Celebrate a New Community Farm at the Spring Farm Fling

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The Spring Farm Fling celebrates the transformation of the former Iroquois Homes public housing complex into Iroquois Farm. It’s located at 1400 Bicknell Avenue.


Neighbors and residents are invited to the community-wide event on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Activities include field-to-fork experiences for all ages including gardening, healthy food cooking demos and tastings, seed planting, volunteer opportunities, and more. The event is family friendly and free to the public.

The Food Literacy Project built a hub for food education, youth employment, leadership development, jobs skills training, and health improvement.
